Tekeeyah (a call) shofar and trombone concerto

Symphony No. 1 Living Breathing Earth, inspired by the rhythms and shadings of the earth, represents our planet in its radiant fullness, alive with all variety of creatures and plants, pulsing with breath. Tekeeyah (a call) is Warshauer’s call for an awakening to our true essence as human beings. It features the shofar, the horn of a ram or antelope, that is used in the Jewish tradition to wake up the soul. In this concerto, the shofar calls to all of humanity to rouse us from our slumber of complacency. - Navona Records
